Meet your local publishers!! Joe and Marissa took over the Black Forest magazine in 2025. Marissa has 5 years experience as a local publisher - publishing both Monument Living and Palmer Divide Living magazines. She is a resident of the Black Forest since 2015 and also owns Lavender & Thyme: Holistic Skin Therapy. A small skin apothecary and holistic esthetics spa located in Black Forest - off Shoup & Black Forest Rd.

Joe is a long time Colorado resident, living here since the mid 80's. He has an impressive background in higher end construction, project management, IT, and drafting. Some say that once he and Marissa got married, she drug him kicking and screaming into the family business.

Jokes aside - Joe and Marissa are excited to work closely with the beautiful community of Black Forest and bringing businesses and residents together with our publication and networking group.
